About The Project
Wanderlust is a Fire Emblem: Three Houses fanzine centered around the concept of travel. It aims to celebrate the different cultures and locations of varying nations of FE3H, from pre-game to the modern era. Pieces will focus on the location picked, the process of traveling, and/or the characters' ties to that location in particular.

Miniyuna [Art Mod]
Mod Miniyuna recently found her love of zines in March 2021, and it has been all uphill from there! She loves a lot of fandoms, Fire Emblem is a big one, and loves the idea of traveling! Staying in hotel rooms, lounging at the beach, experiencing the food, and more! She can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with! She has been the art mod for COMET, Scholar’s Lullaby, Written in the Stars, and a contributor in 20+ zines!Alba [Social Media]
Despite his fear of heights & the ocean, Mod Alba has a love for all things new & exciting. You can expect to find them sitting at the gates two to three hours prior to boarding, making sure all snacks are packed for a long road trip, or ensuring everyone has at least three extra outfits for those “just in case!” moments that nobody expects. Fun fact: He has tried to impulse buy tickets to Japan at 4 am & still has no memory of it. Despite all this, they’re extremely excited to bring the love they have for traveling & new experiences to the world of Fire Emblem! You can find all of his project experience here. What is a zine?
A zine is a collaborative fan project, in which fans for a certain piece of media or a certain theme come together to create content.What is the zine’s theme?
This zine focuses on the theme of travel! This can be mundane things (ex: the journey getting there), sightseeing, and more.Will ships be allowed in this zine?
Ships are permitted to be mentioned, but should not be the focus of the zine piece.Is NSFW allowed in the zine?
As we are sticking to Fire Emblem’s T rating, we will not be allowing NSFW content in this project under any circumstances.Can I participate if I’m under 18?
Yes, of course! Anyone above the age of 16 is welcome to participate in the zine.Is this project for charity or for-profit?This project is for charity! We will be donating our proceeds to the Colon Cancer Coalition.Will this zine have sensitivity readers for non-Fodlan countries?
Yes! We want this zine to be accessible to everyone. We are bringing on sensitivity readers to handle each region, both through apps posted on our social media and by reaching out to some in the community!How will contributors be compensated?
Contributors will receive a digital bundle (including merch, if we have enough interest) no matter if we breakeven. During sales, we will have two breakeven points. After providing everyone with a digital zine, we will provide them with a zine-only bundle and free shipping if sales allow. After providing everyone with a zine-only bundle and free shipping, we’ll then upgrade to a full bundle if sales allow. Contributors will also have the option to purchase merchandise and the zine at production cost.Are AU’s allowed?

We are inviting guests, yes! If you’re hoping to be a guest, please watch your emails or DM’s! Who knows, you just might see us in there!Are you only sending responses to contributors who are accepted?
No! Even if you are rejected, you will receive an email.Can I apply for more than one position?
Of course! You will likely only be accepted for one position, but you can apply for as many as you’d like!How big of an effect do pitches have on my application?
While it’s not the first thing that moderators look at, pitches will be used as a “tiebreaker” of sorts.Will moderators be allowed to contribute?

This answer is largely dependent on the volume of applications we receive.What if I’m not 16 by the time I fill the application, but I am when applications end?
Good question. If you fill an application and turn 16 after you submit it but before the email date of September 14th, then that’s perfectly fine.Can I have extensions for Check-Ins?
Yes! If you message the moderation team, we can allow for extensions if needed! Extension periods will allow for one extra week to get the Check-Ins in, excluding the final Check-In, which is set in stone.Can I reuse a piece that I created earlier?
No. All pieces must be original and created exclusively for this zine.Will pitches be assigned, or will we get to choose?
We will be assigning pitches!How long do we have to create our piece(s)?
You will have about 4-ish months to create your pieces after your acceptance.When will I be allowed to post my full piece publicly?
Once pre-orders close, buyers have received their packages, and leftover sales are being readied, you will be allowed to post your full piece. Otherwise, you may post previews that showcase no more than 25% of your piece.Can I use my piece in portfolios after I finish it?
Yes. Until you are allowed to post it, however, we ask that you only use it in private portfolios that you are sharing with the moderators of that zine only. We also ask that you include a note that the piece is not to be distributed.Can I sell my finished piece/use it on personal merchandise?
Yes, of course. You may do so after leftover sales have ended, and at no prior point.

Wanderlust will feature (and focus on) the location picked, the process of travelling, and/or the characters' ties to the setting of a piece. Contributors will be allowed to choose any location mentioned in-game.This zine will take place in a ""golden/everyone lives" route, and will take place from pre-game to the modern era (about 2020 or so.) It will not feature real life events or characters, however you may take inspiration for similar locations/events in appropriate corners of the map.Wanderlust will be A5, physical, and 120 pages max. We are looking for 35-40 artists, 5 merch artists, and 5-10 writers.
Contributor Info:GeneralAll contributors should have a discord account and be willing to join the server, as it is our main method of communication. Templates and other specs will be provided within the server.All contributors will be subjected to the schedule as planned. Any requests for extensions should be talked about with a moderator and approved by said moderator in advance.All contributors are expected to act in a cordial manner with one another. This doesn’t mean that you have to be professional, but it means that you should be respectful and willing to work.Applicants must be over 16 years of age to apply to the zine. You must meet the age requirement by July 13th, 2022.All links within your application or portfolio must be visible to the mods. Create one or more pieces within the specified zine parameters:
> Cover artist: a two-page spread to act as our cover
> Page artists: a singular page or a two-page spread
(or collaboration with writer for spot/page illustrations)

Artists much provide updates on their pieces at check-ins, and will be provided feedback on their works during the creation period. You are welcome to ask for additional feedback from the Art Mod (Miniyuna) at any time!. . . . . . . . . . . .
Writers
Create one or more pieces within specified parameters:
> Poets: a 1-2 page poem
> Short fiction: a piece with 1500 words maximum
> Long fiction: a piece that is 3000 words maximum
Writers will be provided with specification of their word limit upon acceptance, and all writing for this zine must be created originally from you! Work that was created previously will not be permitted.
